Pre-assesment and Admissions

The Pre–assessment Process:
The overall admission process is straightforward and designed to make the move into one of our homes straightforward and with peace of mind at all times. Prior to moving into one of our homes we carry out an assessment in your chosen location whereby your individual needs will be discussed. This normally involves spending the required time with you and your family and to assist us in understanding you as an individual. It is usually during the pre – admission that a move in date is confirmed.

Admission:
The admission date will have been confirmed with you prior to moving into the home. We will where possible, co – ordinate a move to take place at Lunch Time as this is a good opportunity to meet other residents but also have your first lunch with family if you wish.
You will be welcomed into the Home by either the Home Manager or Most Senior Person on Duty and other care staff. After lunch we will sit with you and your family and begin to compile certain aspects of what will become your care plan. We understand that the actual move in date can still be a difficult period for both the resident and their family but you can be assured that support is offered at all times during and after admission.
