Lavender House opened in 1992 offering the highest standard of residential care for the elderly in Peterborough. To this day, the home maintains one of the finest care home reputations in our community, offering each resident a fulfilling, active and secure lifestyle.
From the moment you enter Lavender House it is hard not to appreciate the homely and friendly atmosphere that is the very essence of our daily life. We encourage maximum independence and choice within the home and ensure that each individual’s needs are understood and met to the fullest.
The home is set in a leafy suburb of Peterborough, yet benefits from a superb location situated within 10 minutes walking distance of the town centre and 5 minutes from Peterborough Central Park. Numerous facilities including doctor’s surgeries, health centres, dentists and The Peterborough District Hospital can also be found within a 5-minute radius of the home.
The home consists of 31 bedrooms most with private en-suite. Excellent communal spaces including two lounges and two dining rooms guarantee a superb standard of living whilst up to date facilities and equipment help provide a safe and comfortable environment.
Lavender House promotes an extensive activities program to ensure that our residents lead fulfilling and active lives. Activities range from lighthearted games such as group bingo and card games to more mentally stimulating word and memory exercises. In addition, each resident is encouraged (if they are capable) to partake in gentle body movement exercises.
In keeping with the high standard of care, the home serves an exceptional quality of food. Each resident receives three nutritional meals per day prepared by our fully qualified chef, including a three-course meal at lunchtime.
Should you wish to visit the home please feel free to drop by at any time. An appointment is not necessary as we operate an “open door” policy for anybody wishing to view.
